Well, it was kinda crazy-weird-ish...But it had a lot of good laughs and though the story was a bit far fetched, it still connected all the little stories together. I think i liked the anthology style for this movie but it shouldn't be repeated in the next decade.
Conan's alter ego is clearly Khal Drogo... Same actor, i know, but the characters seem pretty much the same to me. The movie is just boring to watch really. Why were there supporting characters? I wouldn't know, because they seamed meaningless. Won't waste anymore words on this piece of garbage, just look below my comment and that should sum up all i can think about this movie.
I hated the first hour because everyting kinda gets thrown at you. In the first few minutes there have already passed so much characters and storylines it immediately annoyed me and the following hour is indeed very confusing and hard to keep up with. Too bad they made the narrative go so fast, because at the end, it felt like i missed lots of important plotpoints which were introduced at the beginning of the movie.Because i missed these things it was also hard to 'connect the dots' over all 6 storylines, something i hope to achieve after i revisited the movie.
Thought it would've been better for the story to slowly, and at least more gradually, introduce the audience to the 6 different storylines. Also the rapid switching between timelines shouldn't have been so dramatic at times and could have done without the obvious pattern. Whenever, or at least a lot of times, because after a while it became kinda predictable and annoying, there was mentioning of an object, say a door, they would cut to a different timeline where a door opened. A good idea, but shouldn't have been used so often.
I was really relieved towards the end that you could see everything coming together. Overall i thought, like a lot of other people, it was a beautiful, yet somewhat complex, movie. Loved it because it was thought-provoking and i don't see nearly enough of such movies as i would want to these days.
Although it had some good ideas, the story was still terrible, had a poor execution and was not interesting, scary or suspenseful in any way. Terrible movie. Also, look at the running time! What movie can barely get to 80 minutes, credits included? A movie without any story can! Should've known it would be this shitty...
EDIT: After watching the trailer i realised they cut some of the explanatory scenes and dialogues. WHY would they do that? It would give the movie some more sense and meaning, because now it seems like a pretty random story about some entity a bunch of stupid kids let into our world.
Trailer got me more excited than the movie... It's like they decided in post-production to drop their better ideas and do a 'waste-of-time'-movie instead. Seems to me like a potential careerkiller for both Ashley Greene and Tom Felton. Too bad.
Very enjoyable feel good movie, though it was predictable. However, this is not a particularly bad thing, because it's still a rom-com and as far as i know, they're not known to be great feats of cinema. Thought Gerard Butler played his part well, especially all the awkward scenes in the beginning where a lot of the soccer moms were hitting on him. You could read it off his face he was out of his comfort zone there.
Most badass movie i've seen in a long time! This movie was just epic. All the greatest action heroes are in it, it has great - and self aware - oneliners, and it's just one piece of fun and adrenaline. I mean, it was REALLY fun! The smart car scene with arnold and Bruce? I cracked up. The X-ray kill : awesome! And Chuck Norris for goodness sake! CHUCK NORRIS people! What do you want more out of an action movie?
I think there are so many bad comments because people take these movies too serious. Imagine watching this movie and not laughing once... I dare you, i double dare you motherfuckers!
Pretty decent adaptation. The acceptance of Wanda was kinda abrupt and felt like they forced it to happen, but for the right character development they would probably have had to add another half hour, which would make the movie too long. I thought there was good acting too. Overall a good movie i guess.
After the first 30 minutes i wanted to stop watching so badly, but decided to keep watching to see how much bullshit they could throw at me, and believe me, i saw A LOT of bullshit. Especially the ridiculous soundtrack was hilarious at times.
Only after looking it up on wikipedia i realised that it was actually supposed to be funny, as it supposedly is a comedy horror movie... Though i didn't laugh once i felt the urge a lot because it was like funny in a bad way, like so-bad-it's-actually-funny... How critics found this good at the Sundance Festival really astonishes me though.
Anyway, could only recommend watching it with a big group of friends and clearly stating before the start that it's supposed to be bad.
Probably a really awesome monster, but wish i could've had at least one decent look at it without the fucking shaking camera. If it's a horror movie, then they should show the work they put in the monster without making me seasick IMHO...
A memorable ending for the series. Was quite surprised with the big battle because i didn't remember it being in the books so it was actually a nice mindfuck
The reason why characters in a zombie movie are stupid is because if they'd all have common sense, they would all survive and the movie would be boring... Still, it happens every time that i'm annoyed about it
Wow, that was probably the worst film adaptation i've seen in years! Really disappointing. They missed so many good things from the book. Because of this the movie seemed a little off at some points. There was no emotion put into this movie, and Jennifer Lawrence might have reached a Kirsten Steward-kinda bad. Woody Harrelson was a good Haymitch though.
Expecting something different, but it turned out to be a great romantic movie! Seriously people, it's Channing Tatum! Don't expect him to be like Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. Just appreciate the story and the actors like they are.
At first the concept of green lantern seemed a bit dull, if not laughable, but this movie changed it. Of course it's a origin's story, but it showed potential. I'm definitely going to read some of the comics now.
This has got to be the worst movie I ever saw! My 7 year old brother could write a better script, and the director... wtf, i don't think they even had a director! A really painful experience!
