The sad part is I see the black comedy that Frank Oz wanted to make underneath all the studio edits. I just can't get past the terrible editing and dialogue and huge story gaps.
Not sure how this got great reviews. I like a good b-movie including the original Piranha but this is just schlocky crap. Never enjoyed on any level this movie nor was I shocked. Just a complete miss.
Can't believe all the dislikes. Of course it's a hippy movie with amateur actors and that is what makes it great. A truly indie film before they called them that.
I guess I am just stunned by how much love this movie gets. I didn't dislike the movie but having only watched in 2D (and not being a fan of 3D), I must say it was just alright. Better than Episode I or Armageddon, but still just a decent popcorn movie. I also thought the message was lost in the mindless violence.
It's hard to find a movie that both young children under 5 and adults will enjoy. Winnie the Pooh is that rare movie. As a fan of Many Adventures I must say this one packs even more laughs for the grown up set. I felt like a kid again.
Brilliant movie. I came away feeling tha he was arrogant but also not a bad guy. Just a young guy who wanted an adventure but forgot about the price that may cost. Sean Penn does a brilliant job directing and the cinematography is beautiful.
I know this movie has it's detractors mostly because of the hype and my wife was not as impressed but, when considering the budget and lack of experience by the director, I was left in awe. Beats the hell out of the overproduced mess of Avatar.
The good reviews and thumbs up were warrented. I understand a lot of people jumped the gun as always happens on sites and imdb will correct itself as always with the anti-fan faction coming to drag down the rating. This one, however, won't fall as far as some. It's hard to fault it too much if you've seen it. Also, I felt the movie had plenty emotional punch.
This list takes the term very literal. Really, to be a cult film it must have failed at the box office. These films would all qualify in that case. I have to agree though a lot of cult movies are missing. Still interesting list.

Wow. I love Paul Rudd and Steve Carell and I also loved the original but this movie is really not good. Just a bad movie. Very few laughs to be had.Movie comment on Låt den rätte komma in

Not quite well written enough for non horror fans and not quite gory enough for most horror fans. I liked it though I didn't love it.Movie comment on The Thing

Those who can't understand the slow build have been subjected to MTV culture and wouldn't know a good movie if it slapped them in the face.Movie comment on Billy Jack

Not nearly as bad as people would make it out but you see the better movie that could have been. The big twist totally gets in the way of a good film.Movie comment on Inception
