Now it says that TSPDT's annual update of the 1,000 Greatest Films is taking longer than originally anticipated but it will arrive before the end of January. It will be closely followed by an updated version of the 21st Century's Most Acclaimed Films.
I retired from this list with 4 to go as could not find them cheap in one case, not easy in two cases -but will try again to see what I need to see when the new release comes!

I agree partly with ymmv but I have see "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" which is a good film, and is you can tell this as it is also on some other lists.
I had not seen any, but 996 of the the main TSPDT top 1000 list, list, so I have now seen one, very good, so this is a good list to work on and obsure enough for anyone.
I agree with jarmel that this is by far the best list. It is a real education and it has taken some time for me to track these down and watch them. I am about to reach the final 20, but am not sure if I can complete the list due to a very few being hard to find or not having English subtitles. There are some other good lists on here too but not quite so good as this.
