Not your typical mafia/crime drama film. An interesting addition to the genre. Unique plot and point of view.

I was expecting to loathe this film, but I must say I found it quite entertaining. It's probably one of the most gratuitously violent/bloody films I've ever seen, but it's so over the top that it works. The martial arts and action sequences are executed flawlessly. They're so hypnotic that they'd make Bruce Lee jealous.

A love letter to step-parenthood. Blood doesn't always mean family. There are so many who wouldn't have survived their childhoods without them. Great film.

So infuriating!! I'm sorry, but I've come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church is a disgusting, corrupt, lying, parasitic cult. They have absolutely no shame or remorse for the lives they've ruined. Don't get me wrong, I know they're not the only religion with rampant abuse, but the Catholic Church's abuse seems to be more systemic and institutionalized like a well oiled machine. It's pure insanity!!

Raw, brutally honest, revelatory, emotional, heartbreaking, and haunting. Just some of the many ways you can describe this film. An unprecedented journey into the heart and mind of one of rock's most enigmatic souls that we lost much too soon. Highly recommended whether or not you're a fan of Kurt Cobain or Nirvana. Worth seeing if you're just a fan of rock itself.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure. Highly recommended. It'll definitely make you appreciate what you have, your loved ones, and any opportunities that you've had the luck to take advantage of. Not all are so lucky...

Makes the viewer ponder what they'd do if they were in the same scenario.

Outstanding! Mark O'Brien was/is an amazing and inspirational guy. Truly the definition of never giving up no matter your circumstances. On another note, how was John Hawkes's performance in this film ignored by the Academy? Helen Hunt's recognition was well deserved, but Mr Hawkes's performance truly moved me.

One of the most unique films I've ever seen. Amazing action sequences and really "cool" effects. Had no clue until the end of the film that one of the main characters was portrayed by Tilda Swinton. A very bizarre, scene-stealing, and over-the-top performance from her.

Reinforced my belief that Scientology is a cult of personality, and a haven for people with undiagnosed psychopathy. If you think about it, aren't all religions?

Almódovar is becoming one of my absolute favorite directors. I like him more and more with every film of his I see.

Interesting film about the last reigning emperor of China, but having it filmed with dialogue in English was very distracting.

Not the greatest, but very good for a few creepy scares and eerie atmosphere.

Another awesome film that was completely overlooked by the Academy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. The art direction, cinematography, costuming, and the actors' performances were fantastic. I hope I'm not the only one, but I sensed a darkly comic undertone in some scenes and dialogue that I liked very much. Something else I must mention is the uncanny resemblance I noticed that the actress, Ewa Frölling, has to the actress, Emilia Clarke. There were moments where I was reminded of GOT.

Tremendous film! Probably one of - if not the - best coming-of-age films I've ever seen. Not to mention the extraordinary technical undertaking that was achieved. Loved it!

Lovely film. Such a pity that it was only nominated in the category of "Best Original Score." The performances are outstanding. Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, and Colin Farrell are top notch. I actually was shocked at the range that Farrell had in his role. His absolute greatest, by far.
