Another victim of hype, maybe if I wait a while I will learn to like it more than I did. The Dark Knight is certainly a much much much better film. Michael Caine and Tom Hardy were both greaaaaaat but neither were given as much as they deserved. Also, I hate Catwoman and Blake was another unnecessary addition.
Just as Dark Knight was completely different to Begins, Rises is a different style again to Dark Knight, maybe that's why I didn't like it as much as everyone else because I was expecting and hoping for more of the same. The brutal sewer fight scene with Batman and Bane is really good though and the film needed many more scenes like that, instead I just felt I got boring action with no real sense of proper danger. Oh well.
Disappointing really. Besides a few very brief moments and Fassbender's performance, it felt like a pointless film and just made me wish I was watching Alien again instead. Quite surprised by all the people saying how much they enjoyed it.
Not as bad as many say it is, but then again, it's not nearly as good as The Wicker Man. It serves as an average companion piece to the original, but lacks the dramatic ending and memorable 'hero' and 'villain'.
Reasonably entertaining, though is still annoying that they changed the race of the attackers/victim on the bus scene from the real life Epic Beard Man situation. The 'amberlamps' reference amused me highly.
I'll add myself to the group of people who believe this to be better than the first. It's a shame more screentime (and a better script) couldn't have been given to Zeus and Hades to actually develop their characters more, I find them much more interesting than Perseus.

Doesn't really have the same impact as the book/first film, which isn't surprising at all. The soundtrack and little cats are nice though.Movie comment on Moonrise Kingdom

Pretty average overall, got a bit dull in the second half until a slightly satisfying ending.Showing items 51 – 75 of 143
