Really Funny movie and a great parody of Musical biopics, the fake photos at the end were a great touch. Hits all the beats biopics and points out how formalic and the actors seem to be having a blast making the movie. I only hope it will be available beyond The Roku Channel so more can enjoy it.
I don't understand the hate this movie is getting or Dwayne Johnson is getting. This movie was fun, funny and entertaining. Other the Batman movies (excluding the terrible batman vs superman) The Suicide Squad and Shazam have been the best DCEU movies. This would be next. Wonder Woman was ok but had a terrible 3rd act. But the rest have been awful.
Even if this movie had basically DC's version of Ant-Man, Eagle, Doctor Strange, and Storm if she could only control wind, it was still a lot better than the others.
Yes comic book movies are following a certain formula and beats in their movies and there is definitely too many super hero movies these days but I recommended Black Adam for whoever still likes Comic Book movies and wants to watch an entertaining action movie that has some humor in it.
The movie was ok, wasn't great but was good. Like others have said felt similar to It Follows and the ring but as a commentary of Mental illness and depression vs Sexual Transmitted diseases. Like others there some character actions that was pretty silly
like the cop not closing his eyes at the end, the main character not telling the cop to get rid of the curse she needs to kill someone, or Greg trying to block the character from talking to her sister without asking the sister.
, but going from the character's perspective rather than as audience that is not going through those situations. Panic and fear make us react very differently than when we are calm and safe. So overall I felt this a much more realistic character reactions and interactions then most horror films. Slow paced and very very good atmosphere makes this film very suspenseful even if you can see where it is going in some parts while including interesting twists that you don't see coming. While not the best horror from this year, I recommend it to any horror fans.
This movie is like man on fire meets taken with a add bonus of a bad guy out for revenge sub plot. Pretty awesome and stars the always fantastic Hwang Jung-min, who is one of my favorite Korean actors, and squid games Lee Jung-jae. Highly recommended
This movie could have been great but is just alright. The story is interesting enough and the last 20 minutes is really good The main issue I have with the movie is that it is really not scary or have anything happen for most of the film. The first 40 minutes are just setup and finally we get to the creepy part, only for it to 5 minutes later switch to another character with a subplot that neither the audience nor the movie cares about. Then 20 - 26 minutes later we get back to the creepy plot, only for it to again introduce a new character after a few minutes.
granted it is a flash back, but after 1 hour of filler and setup I really wanted to get to the heart of the story
that could have and should have been a during the credits scene or after credits. I am also really tried of the
cops don't listen to the person nor have realistic dialogue. I have been held prisoner, Cop: Do you have id? or not even wanting to investigate her claim that someone is being killed after seeing a broken window, really? I am sorry but if someone says they been held prisoner in a house and that someone is going to killed, they cops would investigate, and if they found the claim to be BS they would arrest the woman but they would at least do a wellness check

a character who has a cellphone for a flashlight but doesn't try to call 911. If he doesn't have a reception sure, but say so.
Also how does someone buy a home and not notice a rope in the wall that opens a secret door? The rope isn't even hidden, the hosing inspector or the realtor would notice it right away.
So many plot holes for such a short movie and so many unnecessary sub-plots that go no where.
Also the homeless guy scaring the main character instead of say that there is a killer in the house or that they should call the police, but instead hey little girl let me chase you and tell you not to go in there.
With all that said, the last 30 minutes was really good and honestly if the movie was only 30-40 minute short it would have been great. But at 1 hour and 40 minutes there was just too many side stories that end up going nowhere and not getting resolved and takes too long to get to the good parts of the movie.

The main girl getting shot in the stomach and then falling off the water tower (in a very fake looking fall) lands on top of the killer and is fine to walk away was pretty unrealistic
Also what was the point of AJ's character, he is super unlikeable and really not needed.

This movie is pretty bad. No body acts realistic, the dialogue is horrible, the way people act and react to each other makes no sense. We don't even get to see Mike Meyers except for a brief second that makes no sense either until almost 1 hour into the movie. Then he is only really in the movie for like 10-20 minutes. Seriously? And even then it is just a mess. This Franchise has run out of good ideas and needs to just end. Pun intended.
October-a-thon Movie #12 2022. Pretty decent home invasion movie with some twists. The main character was all over the place. The actress playing the character did a really good job. But the Characters isn't very likable. Makes really poor decisions by being stubborn for no real reason. But still enjoyable to watch with some tense moments and really solid acting. Worth a watch.

Not really Humaunt. Glad you liked it, I found it incredibly boring and don't care for movies that thave deaths occur off screen for 1 hour and 10 minutes of a roughly 2 hour movie. I wonder what something you think I need to bitch about. Are you a fan of the series as well? Basically the three of us that saw it disliked the movie. So I guess us three just want to bitch but only people who gave it a 3/5 which is also 60 out of 100, are speaking the truth. Last time I checked 60 % was a D or flailing grade. Glad you enjoyed it. I found it a mess of a movie. But thank you for continuing the trend of disagreeing with people and instead of giving your opinion with why you felt that way, you just start with a personal attack.
Really boring, most kills happened off camera and the changed how the puzzle box works for no reason. Dialogue is terrible, acting is bad and story takes forever to get where it is going and takes over an hour for the new pinhead to even bother showing up. Skip it.
