great movie. does nothing really very special but still manages to be very interesting thanks to great performances, excellent cinematography and some great characters.

this was a good movie with some very strong female characters which they stressed on very well by turning all the men into lovable but boorish pinheads. not a great story and the ending is a little sloppy but decent enough for kids. charming.

the sounds made by the willo'thewisps was incredibly creepy and weird. my hair stood up everytime i heard it

nothing really great about this movie but it's a very sweet one dealing with hope, loss, sorrow and joy in the little things. if you just want a laid back film to watch when you've nothing else to do and not in the mood for mindless action and explosions, this is a decent recommendation.

does it have a constant conflict between the reality and the memory? no. does it have a coherent and fairly sensible plot for a sci-fi movie? no. does it have anything to do with the original other than a few common names? no. is it action filled and gorgeous? hell yes.

people have been giving far too much flak for this movie. this was an a decent enough film that you would enjoy with all the action and the excellent visuals. the director knows his job and has succeeded in making the film look good. there are a lot of times when science was thrown out of the window but this really didn't bother me too much since the plot really wasn't about that. acting was good enough. a better plot with far more emphasis and guesswork about the reality of the situation would have been much appreciated but is nonetheless a decent summer film on its own.

and let me say kate beckinsale looks FANTASTIC. she's almost 40 and she even had a kid but dat ass...

first half was hilarious. then the second part happened and it fell flat. seth macfarlane doesn't have what it takes to be a great movie writer and his formulaic humour will only get him so far. he's no stone and parker.

this was bad. the first one was ALL action and no nonsense. this one tried to stuff some emotion, crappy jokes and stupid cameos where the actors were forced to make bad references to their movies and these stood out like a sore thumb. this was not satisfying and the good parts were not impressive enough

though the twist i DID see coming for a little while before the reveal, this was an amazing movie. the hammer scene is beautifully choreographed and the internet can't seem to get over it. excellent cinematography, great directing, amazing acting, all round this was one of the most depressing, awesome movies i have watched

this was bad. really really bad. time was wasted making this movie is far too long. not enough web-slinging. the car scene was just too long. too much gwen courting. no villain motivations. no use of a great actor, irrfan khan. peter parker was a real jerk all through. uncle ben died in a really bad way, and by bad i mean i felt NOTHING when he died. he died because parker didn't get his stupid chocolate milk. that's really weak. cliches, tropes and cheese abounds. the crane scene took the cake. that was when i was "fuck this shit, it can't get any worse". and it did with that weak, unintelligent finale (i can think of 20 different ways that could have ended). the last scene was the wors with that dumb line proving that this new rebooted parker was a total, immature ass-hat. 2/5 only because i actually liked the actng and the cgi

firstly, people need to stop getting linkin park to do all their end credits songs. they were one of my favorite bands in days of yore but they're getting far too generic now. action movie? linkin park end credits. now on to the movie. timur bekmambetov is an excellent action director. all his movies have well choreographed fights with extremely good special effects. but he really loses the pacing when the action stops, which happened a lot because they were trying to explore abraham's character further. an average movie you can watch at home when you want some vampire-killing action 6/10

whoever directed this knows exactly how to choreograph awesome fight scenes without need of a shakycam or any other idiotic gimmick. story sucks ass but the almost non-stop action keeps you vested in characters you wouldn't give 2 hoots about anywhere else. amazing choreography and great stuntmen make this movie. 7.5/10

cliched, predictable and aimed squarely at the tween and teen female audience. i, as a male 21 year old, see absolutely no reason this needed to be as popular as it did. it's not a bad movie but it's most definitely not a great one. the premise is utterly ridiculous and i cannot seem to be able to relate to the whole situation of districts and games. suffers terribly from pacing issues. the whole movie was way longer than it needed to be and a lot of the first half need not have been there at all. also i am not a fan of this type of editing and the slow pace of the first half really made the jump cuts and the multiple camera angles really noticeable though this happens less as the movie actually goes to the hunger games. not having read the books i cannot compare to the source. a decent watch for its target audience but for veteran movie buffs like me, i'd rather you not have any expectations before watching this.

a lovely little movie. not perfect but something original and most refreshing from bollywood. the best comeback movie any actress could have, especially sridevi. and for the first time, pleasantly, foreigners were not depicted in any stereotypical way. in fact they admonished stereotyping as much as possible in the movie. this was fresh and i commend that.

paul ws anderson needs a lesson from this movie on how to make slow-motion look GOOD. this was a single-minded, no-nonsense movie exactly like the protagonist who bashes into the action head-first and doesn't stop to empathize or regret any of his actions. this really worked well to the film's advantage as we were simply expected to relax and revel in the gratuitous violence. but never did the violence feel over-the-top because you felt the bad guys needed to die and judge dredd was the guy who would deliver that sentence. this film knew exactly where it was going and stuck to it. 3.8/5 from me.

it was good. don't believe the nay-sayers. this is quite funny at times, has some good moments and the story is a nice feel-good, unbelievable heist plot. not the greatest comedy or heist movie but its watchable and entertaining. what else do you need?

i know this movie does not take itself one bit seriously but sometimes the cheese is laid down a little too thick. people said non-stop action but i found too many places where it came almost to a standstill thanks to the baby. i also did not particularly enjoy the humour, sometimes even cringing at the mountains of cheese piled in the dialogues. i might not have enjoyed it as much but i bet others will which i guess the movie deserves

a great movie though i didn't find it scary at all. but brilliant premise, over-the-top plot and hilarious dialog. a great watch even if you're not a fan of horror. if you are a fan, a game of seen-that-monster will be fun. and if you're planning to watch other horror movies, you will most definitely think of the wires, circuitry and chemistry behind it all

average. so much so to the point of being oxymoronic. this could have been really better if they kept up the tension of finding those people. at least 30 to 45 min could have been cut to keep the pace rolling. plot was a little thin though with the aliens' reason for abducting people a little flawed. performances are ok with craig being a badass, wilde just being her pretty self though i wish she had more to do and ford grunting his way through his character. wish rockwell and the others had more to do. spoiler. 6/10 from me.

saw the "final cut" today and i am not particularly impressed. i've always hated harrison ford and maintained that he's not that great an actor and here too he gives an average performance. rest of the cast was good but rutger was really good as the replicant leader. i must really commend ridley scott for his excellent sense of style. the movie was really revolutionary in the way it was shot and the effects were superb for its time. but the plot was thin and not much more than a revenge tale. you do feel something for the replicants but its not enough to mourn their passing. spoiler an average film though if i saw it when it was released, i would have been more impressed. neo-noir works well and the dark vision of the future is what i liked best.

edit: i just realised that in the final cut they removed decker's monologues. that explains why in many scenes i felt a monologue would have been perfect. why the hell did they remove it? it would have reinforced the noir feel and made it so much better

amazing movie. this will definitely stick in your head. problem is it will stick only in the extremes. it will either amaze you or bore you. there is no between. but personally i loved it. the themes discussed, though not relevant today, are things mankind may have to face. it showed society in such a realistic way. but sometimes the dialog seemed a little bland though.

also to the guy complaining about the 5 minute music scene, i found that scene to be the most beautiful scene in the movie. it was a scene that showed how ordinary life in the future, even when surrounded by cyborgs and so much technology, could be. but the final shot emphasized that it would never be the same because cyborgs were here and would always be part of that life

this has been THE most confusing movie i have ever seen. it must have been good because the plot was too confusing to me. but some scenes just seemed pieced together with no real meaning at all. many places just didn't explain enough. not a great director but good(?) plot.

this was not as enjoyable as i thought it should have been. lots of killing in tight spaces, weapons blasting away, all great potential for a grindhouse-type thriller. but too much plot with too many characters and too little substance ruined it. it could have been awesome. but just 5/10 from me

this was an amazing film. some plot holes, some editing faults, some forced scenes and the plot seemed a little too strectched out like how joker orchestrated all the events of "dark knight". but a brilliant movie nonetheless and an epic conclusion to a to-be-cult-classic series.

9/10
