Overall a very powerful documentary; excellent incorporation of interviews, found footage, and narration from family members.
A very humanizing look at some of the dazzling triumphs and heartbreaking downfalls involved in such a tragically short career.
This movie really stands the test of time. It's fairly lighthearted and sweet, but its darker message shines through all the same. A must-watch where LGBT+ coming-of-age stories are concerned.
A good movie with a lot of build to it, and definitely worth a watch if you enjoyed the first one! Significantly darker and more desperate, though; you'll not find the same degree of dark humour here.
Not a very substantial documentary in terms of the actual information it provides, but well-put-together and entertaining all the same - I didn't learn anything new, but I did find myself laughing along.
Jamie Lee Curtis herself said that it was "the all-time piece of shit… It was just dreadful… That's the only good reason to be in bad movies. Then when your friends have [bad] movies you can say 'Ahhhh, I've got the best one. I'm bringing Virus.'"
That being said, the special effects really are quite excellent - and if you take a look at who directed it, you'll understand why. It's just too bad that the actual plot of the movie ended up taking a backseat to a few extraordinarily gory cyborgs.
Alas - the premise was intriguing, but the finished product fell short.
Mediocre acting with subpar dialogue. Predictably cheesy. I probably wouldn't recommend it, but that being said, it was still a good way to kill a few hours.
Surprisingly honest interviews done in a refreshingly casual manner - hardly a "shock value" film. I found it enlightening about the impact such a widely-publicized crime had on the community and the individuals involved.

A forgotten gem, as far as I'm concerned - brash, riotous fun, with loveable characters and a great cast.Movie comment on National Lampoon's Van Wilder

A very cute movie with a lot of heart. Ultimately, the protagonist's relationship with her father was the highlight for me.Movie comment on Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics

a very good example of a movie that did not age well. it's annoying and underwhelming, but still highly quotable, i'll give it that.Movie comment on Virus
