Note that Joshi's link (to a recobbled rough cut called the Thief and the Cobbler) is ca 92 minutes, not 72. Stunning!

Thanks for this! A lot of work.

I found "Max entre deux feux"(1916, short) on IMDB.
It's on KG at the end of a collection of 43 Max Linder shorts.

Perhaps my earliest memory of something in the outside world - my understanding of it was very skewed, though.

Read the story first (thanks for both links). I don't see that the film version adds anything to the story, though.

Episodes 1-11 (until the Restoration) are currently available on Netflix streaming in the US, and on Amazon streaming (free with Prime). This apparently comprises Seasons 1 and 2 as shown on TV. Season 3 (Episodes. 12-16, through Victoria) are included in a DVD boxed set for Region 1. The final episode, covering the Windsors, Edward VII to present, is apparently only availabi\le for Region 2.

that one didn't work for me. Just brings up a blank screen in front of the grayed-out page and one of those loading signals (I guess) going round and round.

Fascinating crosscultural "translation" of Salinger's Franny and Zooey.

Apu, I'm curious about #7. Might you mean "A man there was / Terje Vigen" (1917)?

From the synopsis it sounds like a remake of Kiarostami's Where is the friend's house?

Drama about the 1986 nuclear accident at Chernobyl. A worthy addition to anyone's list of disaster movies.
