Starts pretty odd, slows down in the second act, but the last half hour ties everyting nicely together. Interesting movie. Reminded me of both Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Bergman and to some extent Slow West.

The main character is so unlikeable compared to the other characters of both Kiarostami and Panahi. This made the movie kind of unlikeable as well. Very disappointing from one of my favorite directors!

I have some difficult grasping every symbol here, but I acknowledge the social commentary about China which Zhangke handles gently. I also love the extremely calming cinematography and great stills.

Comparing it to it's predecessor Primer which explores some pretty interesting ideas, this is an incoherent mess.

If you don't shed a tear from this very real movie you are a heartless fucking being.

Unfortunately I wasn't nearly as fond of this as any of the other Dardenne movies. I found the girl difficult to relate to in many ways and her actions didn't seem that logical or rational to me.

Amazingly realistic realism. They even managed to sneak Olivier Gourmet into this one as well, just as a cute gesture.

I decided to watch this based on Denis' impactful performance in Holy Motors, but found this a severely dull and uneventful experience.

The most fantastically British movie ever. However, the last hour drags a bit.

The discussion/monologue about capitalism and how the future is eating the present was mesmerizing.

It was really interesting and spiritual the first 90 minutes and then it becomes seriously boring, except for the climax scene which had great execution (pun intended).
