I cant understand all the disrepute. The Quick and the Dead is a great assemblage of weird and interessting characters, each charakter comes with his own backstory. The duell-procedure is kind of unique, one of my favourit westerns.
More historical accurat than most productions, very nice cast furthermore Louis is portrayed as a complex character (that he was) with advantages and disadvantages. The endless Intriges in Versailles are fun to watch and give a good picture of aristocratic live in France of the 18th century.
