It felt like a nice antithesis to 2001: A space odyssey. It had a solid objective to its plot, with one of the few endearing artificial intelligence characters I've seen in a movie.
I agree with what some commenters have said that this is not a masterpiece, but the film containes several flashes of brilliance throughout. There are two scenes in particular
the bar scene and the car scene
which showcase the height of characterization in film. This film also has one of the greatest closing lines of all time, in my opinion.
