Very bad. I actually thought Fassbender did a good job with what he was given. There are some cool shots and a neat setting, but it doesn't make up for the poorly written story.
Special effects were good in some scenes, particularly the ones made to look like time-lapses, but lacking in others. Never really felt like the characters were actually anywhere besides a studio green screen. Music wasn't anything special. Acting was acceptable. Emma Watson was very good. Felt a little long, but I can't think of any parts that stood out as being unnecessary. Overall, it was pretty solid. Not great, nor bad. Good enough.
Overall, not very good. The only thing that could be considered well done are the visual effects... but even those are lacking in some shots.
Music wasn't anything special and I don't feel like playing so many songs had any benefit at all. I blame Guardians of the Galaxy for this recent trend.
The dialogue was atrocious. I forgive John C Reilly's dumb lines, because that was part of his character and made sense. All the other characters lines, though, were just terrible.
For many parts of the movie, I was wishing I just watched Peter Jackson's King Kong instead.
A common complaint is that the mystery is unsolvable without watching the entire film. You get to the last final couple minutes and are bombarded with all the answers, without being given enough hints to work it out yourself.
Having watched the movie a second time, I can assure you that the hints are indeed there. There are more than a handful of clues spread across the entire movie. Sure, it might be a little difficult to figure out what is going on by yourself, but I would argue that it is most certainly possible.
Probably the most underrated Nolan movie. Definitely worth watching.
One of the few times I have seen a group of people walk out of a theater. They left probably about 20 minutes in, and never came back.
Worth considering where you see it. The only theater playing the movie near me seemed to be having audio issues. There are many shots in this film that are completely silent. The sound system in my theater was giving off a very low pitched, static sounding hum. The hum was very noticeable during these silent parts of the movie... and once I noticed it, I began to hear it for the rest of the screening.
Worth seeing, in my opinion, but it is not necessary to see it in theater. Better to watch at home in a quiet environment.
I thought it was great... up until the ending, where it became exceptionally average. The way the characters behaved during the climax was nothing short of idiotic, and was very unbelievable.
It's a shame that such a well made movie would leave you with such a bad taste left in your mouth.

Was pretty good. Many of the jokes were terrible but it didn’t take much away from the overall movie.
I wouldn’t say it’s a must see, but I don’t think you will feel like it was a waste of time if you do.

Completely misses the point of the first movie. The first one isn't a masterpiece, don't get me wrong... but it is actually enjoyable and well made. There is nothing redeeming about this 'sequel'

Not nearly as good as Double Down. I was a little disappointed, to be honest. Still is a must see, though, in order to complete the Breen filmography.Movie comment on Bug
