Well I can't say I enjoyed it but it certainly made me feel a lot of things. Overall, I agree with most of the comments - the cinematography is beautiful but there is no real character development.
I honestly expected it to be worse. After reading the book, which was GREAT, I was putting off watching the movie because I didn't want to be disappointed. But it was not that bad, except for a cliche ending and some illogical decisions made by the characters...
The book focused more on the global view and the movie just sort of mentioned some of the places or quickly visited them. I think that there is going to be a sequel and it will be interesting to see them maybe explore more of the possibilities from the book or take a new turn (
It really is a great, optimistic movie. Makes one think of the impact one has on other people's lives, which is something everyone should be reminded of every once in a while.
