The hateful, sarcastic comments on here, and on other similar wibsites, are so useless. People are wasting more time and effort on writing about how much they hated the movie than Bay&Co. have spent on writing the script for the movie.
Why do you guys even bother?!
Yes, the movie is bad, I can say it while I'm still on minute 8 of... 164?? What the hell?!
Anyway, the point is people are still watching it, you watched it, millions other watched it, which explains the 11th place on the All-Time Box Office List.
So just chill and watch something else, why don't you?

Funny how the movie called "Burlesque" has nothing in common with burlesque itself.
At least, the quality of the movie precisely matches the quality of Christina's performance.

Many people call this a horror movie.
No, it's not.
It's a horrid movie. There's a difference.
Why do we keep watching Von Trier's movies? For the same reason we keep watching Woody Allen's movies, I guess. We're hoping to see something worthy, something that makes them "great".
All I see is a sick, twisted and, quite frankly, boring world view.

This movie is really bad compared to the book. They've changed a lot, erased everything that made the novel wonderful. The acting is crappy, don't understand all the fuss about the actors, esp. the Oscar for Jen. Lawrence.
What a disappointment!

I was watching this movie today and crying, because it is so absolutely perfect.

Why do people dislike such movies?
Sure, it's not brilliant, but it's not trying to be. It's pure entertainment.
Plus, Tommy Lee Jones is THE MAN! I would be scared to dislike the movie that he's in.

It's completely predictable and that's annoying. But Amy is adorable and Matthew is freakin' gorgeous and that's cool.
Plus breathtaking Irish nature - all that makes this movie a success.

Great little film! The only thing that'd make it better is if Kate Winslet vomited all over Jodie Foster.

How could they have wasted so many good actors on this pile of shit? The effects were ridiculous (a flying, fighting Milady - seriously?!), the plot terrible and the characters so bloody annoying.
The French are right for hating Americans.

Why was Adam Sandler doing a poor imitation of Carol from SNL? They should've just hired Horatio Sanz.

What was the point of this exactly?
For a movie that was so hyped up on fight scenes, the said fight scenes were badly executed.
I think we can safely say that Soderbergh is finished.

Hugh Laurie's manic laugh was the best! The rest of the movie ain't too bad either.

I didn't think it was possible to produce a script made entirely out of cliches. I was wrong...

Not impressed...
With all due respect to Fassbender's determination, he's barely acting in this movie. Not his fault though: when the material is this rough and two-dimensional, what is he supposed to do?
For a compelling story there should've been far less artsy-fartsying and more story telling.
Better watch "In the name of the father" one more time!

Predictably bad, but fun in a trashy kinda way.

I was really sceptical about this one, but it turned out well. Much better made than the original, the story makes more sense and the character development is better. The cast was great! Even though I had doubts about James Marsden, he measured up to Dustin and created his own character on top of that.

I thought this one was cool, surprisingly. I missed episodes 2-4, maybe that's why number 5 didn't seem old and predictable. The bridge scene was really impressive, and the ending too.

I've seen a lot of idiotic movies in my life, but this one takes the cake! There're so many irrational decisions made by both main characters that it's impossible to single one out.

Could care less about the plot, and the movie is far too long. But Johnny is so much fun!

Not as great as all the hype made it seem.
Emily Blunt is ridiculously beautiful!
