If I wasn't over-familliar with the story of Christ's death, I would have no clue about what was going on. It is weakly told and is structual bad. The acting is so over the top that I found myself laughing often. The phasing is all over the place and the flashbacks amounts to little in the long run.
The only redeemable thing I found about the movie was the make up (Satan has a really interesting design that capture the feeling of both man and woman) and the make up on christ at the cross was good, especially if you are familliar with different paintings of the event.

Rewatched this, had forgotten how great it is. The visuals are amazing and the "story" is thoughtprovoking. I did get som parts but I'm not really sure if I understood the ending at all.
