While the first season of Deadwood is brilliant, it sharply declined with the beginning of its second season although seasons two and three did have their moments unlike this movie. As this makes no pretense at historicity they might as well have had the bulldyke Calamity Jane shoot Hearst dead in a duel at sundown, shocked they didn't do this actually (that was Bill come into me).
It could easily be better, but I don't know why this gets panned in particular. There's no way it is objectively worse than Thor, Wonder Woman and the Black Panther, and it's way more entertaining than them and has some humor that actually hits the mark.
Nothing incredible, quite mediocre, not really worth watching unless you want some cheap entertainment but it's actually much better than Bloodsport which is just a total stinker. It has a better written story and much better fight choreography.
