My problem with the Avenger films is that it lacks a good story line. The plot is way too thin. The cause lies in the fact that there are too many superheroes in one movie. Normally the story would develop among a few characters, too come to an epic ending. But here, every character gets its’ fair share of attention. Because of this, the film is unnecessarily long and becomes never really exciting. Some scenes really feel like a computer game. It’s a shame, because there are some really great Marvel films, but not this one.
What an intense movie this has become. When I was in America in 2017 I noticed how much racism there is in every day life in the USA. I can only hope that this movie can change the world for the better.
Besides the heavy topic, the movie also offers beautiful choreography, great music and enough fun and jokes.
I really loved the first Guardians of the Galaxy. It was a refreshingly good Marvel movie. Marvel tends to exploit all their franchises to the limit. In the end, Marvel ruins it. Also this movie. The plot is so cheesy and the effects are ridiculous. They should really rethink their strategy and make high quality movies. If you don't have a great script, than don't make the movie. Because this one is a huge disappointment.
I just finished The Guard, but I can't say that I enjoyed it. The movie is too slow, almost annoyingly in it's pace. Brendan Gleeson is great, but it's not enough to save it. I love films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. That movie has more energy and the story is more interesting. These are the things I miss in The Guard.
This is the film I was really hoping for as a fan. I loved it from the opening till the end: I will watch it again really soon. The Force Awakens is a movie to enjoy over and over again for all generations of fans.
McCarthy steals the show. She gives so much personality to her character. This leads to many really funny situations. The jokes keep coming and the plot has nice twists. And the music adds something extra to the movie with a Eurovision song and 50 Cent on the same soundtrack.
