Movie comment on The Fanatic
ClintmwellsI actually really loved it and was moved by Travolta's misguided commitment to the role. It also scared me at times and the cinematography is great. Watch for yourself and make up your own mind!

ClintmwellsLoved it. The acting all around was excellent.
Movie comment on Baskin
ClintmwellsLOVED this film.
Great setup in the first act with believable characters you actually begin to care about. Once they enter the house it is a delicious gorefest that's a bit hard to keep up with. Some of these images are confusing and even kind of humorously ridiculous. But, if you forget that and let these scenes wash over you they are quite terrifying.
The lack of expositional explanation for the third act is refreshing. The viewer is forced to come to his/her own conclusions while doing their best to forget the horrific images they've just seen.
It's not perfect. But it sure is fun. One of my favorites in a long while.
Movie comment on Hush
ClintmwellsThe main character was well acted. Playing a mute is a very difficult role.
The villain was much scarier with the mask on. Ultimate lack of motive was disappointing. Just another reboot of The Strangers except with a final girl.

Movie comment on Captain America: Civil War
ClintmwellsI totally agree that the best part of this film was when we see Spiderman and Ant Man.
Otherwise this is borderline unwatchable garbage.
Movie comment on Ghostbusters
ClintmwellsDefinitely not as bad as it was hyped to be. But a bad film, regardless. I would not recommend this one.
Movie comment on The House on Pine Street
ClintmwellsNot a lot of new ground covered here in the haunted house genre. But the film is effective and creepy and worth a watch, in my opinion.
Movie comment on Eraserhead
ClintmwellsAn utter masterpiece.
Movie comment on Blow-Up
ClintmwellsSome very beautiful and thought provoking imagery. The Yardbirds scene is very fascinating.
But ultimately, the many reviews claiming this film is long and boring are unfortunately accurate.
It's worth a single viewing if only for the snapshot of the 60's. 5/10
Movie comment on King Kong

ClintmwellsExcellent film. Well written with great performances, particularly by Ruffalo.
I quite enjoyed the soundtrack as well.
Movie comment on Synecdoche, New York
ClintmwellsJaw-droppingly incredible. A standard most films, especially screenplays, will never achieve.
Movie comment on Mad Max: Fury Road
ClintmwellsSurprisingly incredible. Tom Hardy shines.
Movie comment on Network
ClintmwellsA motherfucking masterpiece.
Movie comment on The End of the Tour
ClintmwellsI've not read any DFW books. Truthfully, I came here because of the Bret Easton Ellis podcast that poorly reviewed this film.
I fucking loved it. I've yet to see a Jesse Eisenberg film that bummed me out. I've honestly never liked Jason Segel until now.
This film was fun and, I guess more importantly, an interesting comment on fame, ego, artistic integrity, etc,.
