A collection of intertwined human stories told beautifully through great writing and amazing direction, culminating in a tragedy of human rights violations. leaves little doubt as to who are the biggest criminals
An archaeologist's wet dream. Not only is the film beautifully shot and the narrative compelling (although not exactly an original tale), the details of the objects, socio-economic activities and the unsubtitled dialogue using an ancient language, make this film an immersive and accurate experience
Yep, if Casablanca does not drink from this, and don't know where it drinks from. Some of the small characters are rare diamonds. Tania, for one, has the most extraordinary little moment.
A very good attempt on illustrating Upper Paleolithic lifestyle. The inclusion of knapping stone and the allusion to rock art, using real techniques, shows that there was some research done. So it is with disapointment that I see a sabre-toothed cat, native to the American continent and easily replaceable with a cave lion, and megalithic structures (stone totems) that perpetuate myths about the ice age. Oh, and the bison hunting scene is another example. Otherwise, cool artistic liberties taken: from clothes to ornaments to tents and social interactions.
The character movements are so fluid the frame rate seems exceptionaly high. Extremely well animated, considering the year. Basic plot and no voice acting, still fitting for a teaser short.

Hilarious take on the aging gangster situation. The references to classical japanese films were a beatiful and funny addition.Movie comment on Al Capone

An excellent rendition of the infamous mob boss by Steiger, not without the merit of a thourough non-crime glorifying character creationMovie comment on Heavy Metal Parking Lot

"Your mother" jokes are timeless, a 20yo making out with a 13yo, not so much... either way, Judas Priest is eternalMovie comment on Der Mann aus dem Eis

Though a silent film, you can hear Bull Weed's annoying laugh. For me, the end redeemed an otherwise satisfatory film.Movie comment on Godka cirka
