Bollywood's one of the best crime thriller (8.3/10)

Kaminey , Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj has impeccable direction & fast paced screenplay that elevates the film grip & mood. The production & setting is very raw & the dark mood of the film showcase the gritty theme of greed perfectly.

Acting by whole cast is commendable especially villian's role ( character name - Bhopa Rao) .

This movie looks so original in execution that once you enter the Vishal Bhardwaj world , you will get lost in it & it's hard hitting & the twist & turns of the movie keep you glued till the end.

The background score also played a crucial world in world building & the score perfectly blends with the story.

Feeling Nostalgic (8.5/10)

Stand by me , Directed by Rob reiner is a story about four friends embark on a search of the lost kid in town.

It is one of the feel good movies that you embrace everytime you think of this film. It is coming-of-age story that anyone who is once adolescent will never forget. The best part is the believable acting, the narrative & storytelling.

The chemistry & personality of the characters are so real that anyone can relate to & they are kind of people that really exist in our society. You can also find yourself in them.

It give us the message of friendship & how sometime friends are the most important thing in our childhood that will guide us in difficult times when we can't share something with our parents & how friends see the real you & motivate us to do better in life. The journey the friends have gone through in this film show us how little things can bring happiness in our life & the experience we can go by travelling alone with our friends made us mature by exploring the nature around us & how the same town where we live is now a small town for us as like friends in the movie sees the bewildness of the forest/world .

This movie is a deep dive into everyone's childhood nostalgia & a great movie to experience to feel hopeful & positive in life.

A Timeless love story (7.8/10)

Gadar : Ek Prem Katha, directed by Anil sharma is a love story presented in the backdrop of India-pakistan partition that has been told with beautiful cinematography & amazing background score(including songs too).

The story starts with heart pounding consequence of war & love story starts & follows the formula of back & forth storytelling, the chemistry of the protagonist with his spouse is a special highlight of this film that will linger on your mind afterwards. Amrish Puri's (antagonist) acting made movie more believable & grounded & the action sequences were more practical than today's VFX.

This movie beautifully conveys the message of humanity even in the harsh realities of war & how love has no boundaries even if it means to go against the whole country or you can say the "world".

"Padatik" , Directed by Contemporary fimmaker Mrinal sen is a story of a guerilla fighter who is on the police run , takes shelter with rich sensible woman and how living in that place changes him, does it affect the status of woman? If his revolt bring any change around him? Is he at the right path?
We can see the political undertones all over the Calcutta in 1970s & the issues the film raises still valid till today.
It has superb screenplay , experimental & daring fimmaking & commendable background score. The chemistry between the two leads is interesting.
The only downside is its abrupt ending.

“Sati” Directed by Aparna Sen, is a melancholic tale of a mute girl name Umi played sensibly by Shabana Azmi . This movie aquainted us with Sati custom and caste system during the colonial period. The beautiful cinematography & humanistic approach to the storytelling is praise-worthy. However, The similarities between Pather Panchali & Sati can’t be denied here, but it has to be seen for its sheer beauty & realism.

Heart-warming,light-hearted, funny & above all gorgeous animated feature reminds us of Studio Ghibli films. The beautiful music elevates the storytelling and friendship between Ernest & Celestine questions the society norms about choosing career & how hard a loyal friendship be . What if I told you ,the best sequence of "Get Out" movie might be inspired from this movie, It's that inventive. The only downside is unoriginality in story.

"Suraj ka Satvan Ghoda" directed by filmmaker Shayam Benegal- familiarise ourself with the storyteller named Manek Mulla and his encounters with three different ladies in his life through non linear narrative structure and shows us the class struggle they face in their lives. The sheer power of storytelling & assured direction made this movie really stand out of its own.

"Naseem"- A story of relationship betweed young, energetic & smart girl with her grandfather in Mumbai during the communal riots and the impact of socio-political dispute on them.
It is an essential viewing experience due to great cast acting, handling the subject matter maturely & show us the pre- independence & post independence state of tension between communities.
The direction & cinematography is immersive and puts life into this movie.

"Devdas" is a visual stunner and magnum opus of Sanjay leela Bhansali's film making and it never loses its steam in its grandeur and beautifully crafted set and capturing of emotions feel like timeless tale even if it has some minor flaws in over the top dramatization in some scenes and had soap opera feellike to it.

Great acting, realism and script made it a must watch and this unique concept for survival is rare in bollywood and "Vikramaditya Motwane" proved his talent with almost no flaws in the movie.

A Classic. A tale of belief in faith and fight between pure evil and good , the tension created by actors and score made this very chilly and horrified experience and the realism also made it more genuine and gripping, unexplained events made it tricky too.

A light comedy movie full of quirky characters living in their own fanstasy world. The best part of the movie is its charming characters, fast screenplay and heart at its core, it is one of the movies it never take itself seriously and give us unforgettable charming characters( especially Owen wilson) and interesting
talks and comedic situations and characters study rather than throw jokes at the face. Kuddos to Wes Anderson for this underrated gem.

“Pather panchali” Directed by Satyajit Ray, is a rare accomplishment that is known for its originality, deeply moving and soul stirring approach. It is the story of a boy named apu living in the village ready to explore nature and the world around him.It feels so natural that it doesn’t feel like a movie, and you are attached to the apu and family the moment you saw them. Every frame of the movie felt like painting and you want to be lost in it.It tells us about the nature that gives us everything and also takes something from us and still the journey goes on.
