Painfully dark movie, but an interesting premise. Worth watching for the three lead performances, especially Cillian Murphy, although Jamie Bell was excellent as well. Not a feel good movie, and you will find yourself a little frustrated when the characters don't do certain things they could do to help their situation...

Great performance from Cillian Murphy. The movie wasn't that great though. I had trouble believing the female protagonist would do a particular thing near the end of the film.

The ending was very rushed. I had no idea that Sting was capable of doing what he did at the end of the film. Could have used some more character development. Some beautiful shots, but could have been better with some more development.

Could probably use a few less pointless dance numbers, but I had a good time.

At first I wasn't sure if this was a good movie, or if Tom Hardy's performance was worth watching. Then he appeared as Capone on his lawn wearing a diaper and bathrobe, "smoking" a carrot like a cigar and brandishing a gold tommy gun. Worth watching for this alone.

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Good creature effects, creepy moments. Just a lot of fun.

Amazing. Sopranos superfan here. I had no complaints, other than that I wanted to see more!

Seemed like a mediocre thriller at first, but then I realized the movie was less about Emelie and more about the oldest son, who metaphorically and actually, is forced to confront the harder parts of growing up at an accelerated rate. Whoa.

Whether or not you are offended by this film, it was undoubtedly a reality for many girls growing up during this time period. This movie is a beautiful and atmospheric rendering of life in New Orleans in the early 20th century. Definitely worth a check out.

I liked this movie. I think it showed pretty well how a sociopath can exist outside the context of a caring family. He had two parents that loved him and cared for him, but he was inexorably evil. In typical sociopath fashion he chooses whom he shows his true self to, his mother. She seems helpless to stop him from his choices. A reflection of the evil in modern society. Pretty cool.

I liked this movie. Naomi was awesome as always, and Naveen Andrews was pretty charming. It was sad, just like Diana's life. I liked the way the movie showed where her loneliness came from and also the part of her that just really wanted to be loved.

I love Dennis Hopper, and he directs this film. Another selling point was the cast: Joe Pesci, Jodie Foster, and Dean Stockwell. This isn't that amazing of a movie, but if you are a film buff and into the weirder side of cinema I think you might like this i.e. David Lynch, B-movies : )

There's some interesting feminist themes going on here as well as the effect of familial trauma cross generationally. A more cerebral entry in the series as most of the kills occur off camera.

I seriously can't believe I had never heard of this movie. Directed by Oliver Stone, starring Michael Caine, and with a plot that involves an apparently evil disembodied hand. Oh yes. Oh Yes. A must watch for the weirder cinephile.

Underrated. I enjoyed the atmosphere, performances, script, everything wasn't too bad in my opinion. Way better than that mess that is Exorcist II

A must see for the film buff. Palma at his best, and I've seen most of his work. Those suspense scenes, and of course, that ending.
