Step #1: replace ugly fat girl by pretty hot girl. If I wanted to look at ugly people, I'd stare into a mirror.
Step #2: end the movie right after he deals with the first set of bad guys.
Step #3: if you decide to ignore #2, don't try to make Hillary innocent.
Step #4: fire the guy who thought it was a good idea having the only guy in the world capable of giving the bee keeper some trouble to be a person with only one leg who had just been shot in the face.
One of the best adaptations I've watched so far. At least considering everything produced up until 1992. True, I couldn't understand a single word they were saying, but still...
This movie is awesome. The three musketeers in a spaghetti western.
Where the action stops for 5 straight minutes of a kick-ass card routine. And then we get a Burt Spencer and Terrance Hill kind of brawl. And then, all of sudden, it becomes a Hong Kong kung fu movie. And the cherry on top - a totally unnecessary but extremely welcome nude scene.
At first I was, like, "WOW! At this day and age they've boldly gone and made Mario speak in that Italian accent we all know and love since the N64 days! Awesome!!!"
Then they gave in and made Mario sound like Sonic.
Ah, yet another instance of Constance being the wife of the inn keeper. Only the second time it has happened, so far.
In fact, this is probably the most faithful adaptation I've watched. Not 100%, but pretty close. Unfortunately some parts were rushed and lost all their impact, but still, no other adaptation has touched so many book moments as this one did.
None of that matters though. The really impressive thing about this movie is the presence of Liam Neeson playing one of the musketeers. He probably made use of the same time machine Ben Affleck did when he played one of the students in Rope.
I've been watching all movies based on the Three Musketeers novel in the order they were made and I must say that this one, by far, has the best sword fighting scenes. At least up until this point. It was the first one where it looked like people were trying to kill each other, instead of swinging their swords with the intent of hitting the opponent swords, like we see in pretty much every single movie. And the actors did an excellent job with the choreography too.
This was also the very first time they followed the novel and made Constance the wife of the inn-keeper. I believe every single one of the movies up to this point made her a niece, a daughter, anything but the wife, so our main hero wouldn't look so bad when he tried to bang her. Not here. Here they followed the book and it shows our noble hero committing adultery right under the roof where the husband lives. And the bastard didn't even pay the rent :)
if that person starts screaming "fascist, racist, nazi, alt-reich, etc", this movie shows what is going on inside their heads. This is how they were taught to see the evil white man and what the world will become because of the evil white man ways.
the script and acting combine to create some of the most annoying characters I've ever seen. I know that this is done on purpose so that the audience wants to see them killed, but the movie goes above and beyond with their level of obnoxiousness. All the "teens" look about 30, and all the girls who take their tops off have obvious breast implants.
You are only wrong about 2 things. Two awesome things, if I may say so myself.
