How to improve this movie in 7 easy steps

  • Step #1: punch whoever decided to deviate from the book in the face.
  • Step #2: punch whoever says "but... if you want something 100% faithful, you already have the book" in the face.
  • Step #3: punch whoever decided to cast Zendaya in the face.
  • Step #4: use Zendaya as a club to strike whoever decided to cast Florence Pugh in roles that require someone pretty.
  • Step #5: punch whoever decided to that using bald caps was a good idea. Dude looked like Toad.
  • Step #6: punch whoever decided to deviate from the book in the face again.
  • Step #7: use what you've learned with Pough and apply to the responsible for Anya Taylor-Joy. Then again... abomination! Hum...

Step #1: replace ugly fat girl by pretty hot girl. If I wanted to look at ugly people, I'd stare into a mirror.

Rated it 0/10 for what they did to Born To Be Wild.

This does a lot of things right.

Here is hoping someone puts Dragon Ball in the hands of the same team responsible for this movie.

The proper way to enjoy this is by listening to the audio book read by Ron McLarty.

One of the best adaptations I've watched so far. At least considering everything produced up until 1992. True, I couldn't understand a single word they were saying, but still...

And Ekaterina Strizhenova... what a babe!

At first I was, like, "WOW! At this day and age they've boldly gone and made Mario speak in that Italian accent we all know and love since the N64 days! Awesome!!!"

Then they gave in and made Mario sound like Sonic.

Gone were the hot nude girls from the previous movie to give space to arm-pit hair.

Ah, yet another instance of Constance being the wife of the inn keeper. Only the second time it has happened, so far.

In fact, this is probably the most faithful adaptation I've watched. Not 100%, but pretty close. Unfortunately some parts were rushed and lost all their impact, but still, no other adaptation has touched so many book moments as this one did.

None of that matters though. The really impressive thing about this movie is the presence of Liam Neeson playing one of the musketeers. He probably made use of the same time machine Ben Affleck did when he played one of the students in Rope.

I think the MCU is now officially past its prime.

I thought the same. Except I thought that after watching every single movie that came after Iron Man. Except for Deadpool, of course.

I've been watching all movies based on the Three Musketeers novel in the order they were made and I must say that this one, by far, has the best sword fighting scenes. At least up until this point. It was the first one where it looked like people were trying to kill each other, instead of swinging their swords with the intent of hitting the opponent swords, like we see in pretty much every single movie. And the actors did an excellent job with the choreography too.

This was also the very first time they followed the novel and made Constance the wife of the inn-keeper. I believe every single one of the movies up to this point made her a niece, a daughter, anything but the wife, so our main hero wouldn't look so bad when he tried to bang her. Not here. Here they followed the book and it shows our noble hero committing adultery right under the roof where the husband lives. And the bastard didn't even pay the rent :)

I suggest watching Max Linder's 1922 The Three Must-Get-Theres right after this, as it's a scene-for-scene parody.

Thanks!

  • write the word "Trump"
  • show it to a person

if that person starts screaming "fascist, racist, nazi, alt-reich, etc", this movie shows what is going on inside their heads. This is how they were taught to see the evil white man and what the world will become because of the evil white man ways.

the script and acting combine to create some of the most annoying characters I've ever seen. I know that this is done on purpose so that the audience wants to see them killed, but the movie goes above and beyond with their level of obnoxiousness. All the "teens" look about 30, and all the girls who take their tops off have obvious breast implants.

You are only wrong about 2 things. Two awesome things, if I may say so myself.
