Irony is the weapon of the ridiculed, the marginalized, the weak, but ideally the weapon is sharp to cut to the heart. This movie is about as sharp as a medieval mace, but in all its bluntness it is pretty entertaining and at times audiovisually impressive.
Thought it was a decent short. At some point, almost halfway I was even hearing electronic music in the sounds of the trains- and that was without the use of any substances.
A bit odd that this movie is on an Asian cinema list. The movie was made in the UK, co-produced by Germany and United States, directed by a British director who was born in Kenya. Or does the fact that the director and the movie protoganist are of Asian descent make this an Asian movie?
Cap the list would lead to a Top250/ Top500 list of recent successful movies- better to make this list unofficial again, one Box Office list is enough and the other one is more reliable anyway.
This is a great list. I thought that Tetsuo II: Body Hammer was part of this series? I must be mistaken but I seem to recall an introduction to that movie by Alex Cox.
So this list includes movies that the author of the book it was based on deemed worth one star or less, in other words utter shite. Making these same movies official entries to a top list. A bit ironic isn't it?
Is there no better action movie list to make official, this one for example: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/time+outs+100+best+action+movies/senorroboto/
Not bad but I was not really impressed by this movie, by the same director of the small masterpiece Forbidden Games. A bit surprised that it won awards at Cannes and at the Oscars.
