It's hard to believe that this film is not in any of the official lists. A masterpiece, without a doubt.

@bal3x: Well it is basically because Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" (1958/59) is regarded as the last true noirfilm and subsequently all made after that are labelled neo-noir or post-noir. Noir is thought of as a genre operating within a specific time period .

Also the film «Appunti per un romanzo dell'immondezza» does not exist. It was never made.

Cheesy 3D-effects aside, this is mostly worth watching for some early Hicks clips and some insightful interviews with his friends. It feels really stilted and slow in the beginning, mostly relying on illustrational photos where characters are moving about awkwardly thanks to the "3D-effect". It picks up pace midway and the last half is very funny and insightful.

Lack of dialogue offputting?! 5 minutes shorter? This sounds very strange to me. Why would one want dialogue in this film? And would the film be as haunting and touching if the escape was shorter? One has to get a real sense of the escape. The escape has to be a little long in order for the movie to work. This short is brilliant!

Why isn't this in the spiritual-list? And why isn't it in the tspdt-list??? Fantastic movie...
