Duvall was truly terrible in this one, to the point of me asking myself if he was every really anything

'Heil myself!'

'Shall we drink to a blitzkrieg?'

'What he did to Shakespeare we are now doing to Poland.'

Really surprised to see this on Kubrick's list.

That was an incredible trip! Guy Maddin went Heimat to hang out with the living dead dancing the Satantango. Produced by Ulrich Seidl.

This is hard to find. Anyone know where to find it? Is it streaming somewhere?

The movie has no entry on ICM? Is the movie just a version of the tv-series edited down in length?

Incredible movie. Naomi Kawase continues to impress me, but her biggest success 'An' is a weak effort. Watch this one and Shara for a display of some real movie mastery.

A surprisingly strong debut feature from Ben Wheatley, well played, realistic and funny like a Mike Leigh film, with Ben's twisted ideas thrown in. Good stuff.

Is 'Tag' an exploration of male chauvinism in the entertainment industry, and elsewhere, and thereby a feminist statement? Look beyond all the bloodied short-skirted schoolgirl uniforms to find out.

The scene starting in the elevator was incredible. One of Chaplin's best!

Between the masterpieces Thérèse Raquin and Hôtel du Nord Marcel Carne made this banal dream piece. Not entirely without qualities, but a far cry away from his best works.

The Kaczinski-brothers who came to power in Poland play the leads here. Does anyone know where to see this film with subtitles?

This Libyan/Egyptian movie probably inspired as many hippies to convert to Islam as Reefer Madness did to keep American youth off drugs.

“Recently, I realized that movies that put me to sleep were good ones...They give you tranquility. There are too many things in the world that make you angry and restless, so movies that help you sleep are important.” - Miike.
