The Magnificent Seven wasn't magnificent, but it's a solid western. Paint by the numbers plot, but great performances and punchy dialogue makes it an entertaining watch. Also made me really want to rewatch Seven Samurai. It's been at least a decade since I last saw it.
The film tested my patience, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I still think the front end could be trimmed down, but the last thirty minutes is fantastic.
