The bunch of ignorants that made this movie think that people in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) speak Italian... how come there wasn't any one in the production team who could point this out?

How come this jewel is not included on any official list? So fun to watch! River Phoenix steals every scene he is on!

Terrible version, with an overacted Peter Sellers trying hard to be funny. Do yourself a favour and watch the 1952 version instead, with the fantastic Stewart Granger and diva Deborah Kerr.

So many things in this film don't make any sense at all... Maybe if it had been set in a period before Internet, email, Whatsapp, etc, then it would be a bit more believable... A young woman flies all the way to Sicily to spend some days with her boyfriend, but he's not there to meet her, so she "waits" for him for many days at his place keeping his mother company... And of course there's the elephant in the room that would have been impossible to keep from her in such a small Italian village where everybody knows everybody else... They say it's based on a play by Luigi Pirandello, I say that's rubbish. Only the main premise of a mother waiting for her son in Sicily is similar, the rest of the plot is completely different.

Three of the most important Spanish actresses/singers of the time collaborate -and compete- in this film about the (grim) life in Madrid of the 1950's, including every single cliché such as flamenco and bullfighting. Great songs, hairdressing and gowns make an ok script bearable.

This version is almost as good as the book itself. Every single scene is brilliant. One of these films that I can watch again and again and still enjoy like the first time.

Not one of Agatha Christie's masterpieces, but the great cast and amazing locations make up for the weak-ish plot.

What a beautiful film! A sad story of two sisters who were separated by the men in their lives... Keeps you crossing your fingers for a happy ending that never comes...

This film is all over the place. The plot is like a headless chicken, and keeps you asking what's the point about everything. Sally Field has three gorgeous minutes on screen, proving that there is no such thing as a small role.

Columbo is a very irregular series: Some episodes are great, others are plain boring. This is one of the best episodes I've seen, no doubt thanks to Faye Dunaway who is so good that makes everybody else look like an extra or part of the decoration. SHE and only SHE is the actress in this episode, everyone else is redundant LOL Pay atention to the scene where she buys Columbo a new tie, she is so sexy, so flirty and so professional that makes Peter Falk look like a rookie in a school play.

What a great film! Interesting story and superb acting... the woman who plays the teacher is amazing.

Pleaseant surprise! A mix of drama, police procedural, history, love, LGTBI etc... in the communist Poland of the 80's and, as the cherry on the cake, in winter!

What a horrible adaptation of such an interesting novel. They changed everything except the characters' names. There's no need to watch it.

I'm still looking for the person who recommended this film, I need to have a word with them.

Mixed feelings about this one.
Kate Winslet is one of my favourite actresses and she delivers in this role, despite (or including) her american accent. And that's it. The plot is not very interesting, the sub-plots I couldn't care less about, the dialogues are boring and the whole thing is awfully grim. With all the things out there waiting to be watched, it's hard to commit 7 hours to this series.

Saw it as a young man and liked it. Rewatched it 30 years later and liked it even more and understood better both characters' motivations. Johnny wants to rebuild his life and has no time to waste, Frankie has trust issues. An intelligent rom-com that can also be enjoyed by men LOL
By the way, it includes one of the very first depictions of a happy-ish gay couple on the big screen I remember.

WOW! What a nice surprise! It delivered much more than I expected. Meryl Streep is amazing, and James Cordan makes you think that there was no one else who could have played his role. Nicole Kidman is like wine, improves with age LOL

Why the super-sad ending?
I'm a firm believer that audiences deserve some relief after so much drama...
Killing likable characters at the end is vile!

This movie addresses an extremely disturbing topic: Teen anger. Throughout the film you feel for the teachers who have to deal with this problem every day, you feel for the parents who have done something (or not) to raise them like that and above all you feel for them. Luckily this is fiction and in the end there is some hope, which is not usually the case in real life.

Such a great novel destroyed by a lousy script, a poor casting and a mean production. The real story and conflict are lost in this mess. A real shame.

What was Ang Lee thinking when he accepted this project? Sheer crap that could have been done by anyone. I would have thought that at this stage of his career Mr. Lee was able to choose his films more carefully and focus on more trascendental enterprises.

This must be the worst Woody Allen film ever. I found it extremely boring and the overated Timothee Chalamet just annoyed me. He should be grateful for all the things he learnt in this film instead of bad mouthing Mr Allen everywhere he goes. Do yourself a favour and watch something else.

This was a very enjoyable film, kind of Priscilla Queen of the Dessert meets Campeones (the Spanish 2018 film). Great, unexpected moral. Also worthy is the credits song "Kid", that introduced me to French rapper Eddy de Petro.
Watch it with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.
