1. I use the site to help organize my Netflix queue, and I also like the links that have surfaced in the comment sections to films streaming some where on the internet.
2. I would really like to be able to customize what tab I am on when I go to a list. If I could set my default to the "Unchecked" tab, with all movies showing (instead of the first 50) I would do that to save my self a couple clicks.
I also have some friends who's activity is interesting and others whose isnt. Id like to block them from my activity stream without defriending.
Several of these (Dekalog, Berlin Alexanderplatz, Das Boot for example) are probably referenced more commonly as films than television, so Im fine with the list.
It doesnt even appear that Scenes of a Marriage tv version qualifies for some reason (seems it should given some of the others)

M is from 1931 and is German, while film noir is generally considered an American genre starting a little bit later. IMDb seems to have a "rubber band" like set of requirements that seem to rule out some films while considering others. Personally, I perfer the lists as narrow in scope as possible. Thats how you find the hidden gems.
Is it like a "you cant check every movie youve seen as soon as you join" thing? It's fine if it takes a user 4 or 5 months to build their complete list in my opinion.
But if the movie watchers that watch stuff at a really high clip (50+ a month) are held back, thats really going to hurt the competitive aspect.
perhaps instead of questioning whether pseudo-noir films everyone has seen from the last 10 (or hell, 45) years apply, people should use this list as a tool to catch up on some really terrific stuff from a great time in film. I prefer it having stringent requirements. Everyone's seen Chinatown. Its on a ton of lists on this site. I'm glad a movie like Brute Force or Kiss Me Deadly can get some exposure in its place.
fyi, a lot of Keaton added to account for the "Buster Keaton" entry in this series. I had only seen like half of them, making my quest for the gold slightly longer.
