This movie, along with the new Twin Peaks season, was the perfect swan song for Harry Dean. He was brilliant to the very end.

The best of the "Damian trilogy" by far.

Pretty much exactly what I expected from a Stuart Murdoch musical. It's not amazing, but its warmth and charm are undeniable, and the three leads are very likeable. Worth a watch if you're into Murdoch's music or indie pop/twee.

A bold, brutal film with fantastic performances from most of the cast. I liked it a lot but I can understand why it's been so polarizing so far.

Yeah, last night I realized I had watched this a while ago and now I'm wondering the same thing.

I'd say this deserves a bit more recognition. It's wonderful and hits really hard.

"Historias de Fútbol" isn't a documentary (Great movie though). But you could add "Ojos Rojos" to this list, which is about Chile's national team and how Marcelo Bielsa led them to the 2010 World Cup:

One of the most stylish and exhilarating action films I've seen in a long time.

The story with Baldwin and Eisenberg was quite enjoyable, as was the one with the young Italian couple. The other two stories were just painful to watch though.

Wow I just realized this made it into the TSPDT list. Not my favorite Miike film, but nice going!

Armie Hammer's makeup was the only horrendous one imo. He didn't even look human.

I've been on a Hertzfeldt binge since yesterday, but I need to take a break after watching this one. It hit me hard.

I'm listening to Frusciante at the moment and I thought about this film...It was so dark and hopeless that it actually scared me. If I hadn't known about John and his life I would have instantly assumed he died hours after the film was made. It's that horrifying. I will never see it again, but I'm glad I did. John F is one of rock music's biggest "survivors".
