When this movie starts, it seems like a cheaper "Lethal weapon" alternative. And then...
It turns out, Stallone can play. It turns out, De Niro is excellent in short role of a cop who sports dull mustache and speaks with a sandwich in his mouth. And something not outstanding turns out like "High Noon", but new.

Something quite different both from previous and subsequent Quentin efforts. But mot too musch different. Music is good, but some people might like the soundtrack.

Seriously, if somebody's reading this (and by the number of checks this movie got- I guess nobody ever will), better watch "Le Samouraï" instead, it's ultracool.

Although I like how protagonist's haircut says "I don't give a damn".

In France we got "Le Samourai" with Delon, in USA we got this.

This movie bears such qualities, I can not resist the urge to leave a comment, which I have never done before.

Several persons of scarce to none interest look bored, then have sex, then insult each other, then repeat (not necesserily in this order). All they do is this. Which is boring.
Plot and story stall quite close to beginning and circle between sex, insults and boredom, not moving anywhere. One should try really hard to reach that level of blandness and boredom in a movie shot in Mediterranean with murders, crime, horror and tons of sex. You even might get tired from beautiful nude women, which is virtually unachievable. It's like a very long I act of a three-act movie. Without acts II and III.

The most interesting thing in the movie is Oliviero's BMW. If you are a fan of pre-war cars, this movie is a must see. Otherwise, remember: there are hundreds of thillers, horrors and giallos besides this one, and you have only one life, which is short.
