!m 45 minutes in and i had to come here to see what others experienced, i am going to make it to the end, just dont know what im looking at. I think its the connection between the main characters i dont like, everything else is beautiful, if not a little pretentious. I shall persevere.

update: Well its was work getting to the end, but it was worth it.

I really really wanted to like this more than the eps I, II and III but .... it really is one of the - if not the worst film ever made. A bottle of wine increases you chance of making it to the end.

Who else here is completely sick of the superhero genre?
With the exception of dead pool i havent seen anything i like in years. All production and CG and no human story.

Once again a movie that has a dog / animal as one of the starring characters that does not get a credit. I know the film isn't a monument of cinema, but i would like to be able to look up what else "belle" has done. This is the 21st century film makers.

This film like most ever made has its flaws, but its brilliant, i shed a tear at the end. It was absolutely groundbreaking for its time and it touched on a taboo subject. Some complain that the island scene was too long, but that was the main act of the film, it was what the punters went to see, it was the place that they could get away for an hour or so. We may have all seen jurassic park, but they hadn't. You cannot look at old films with todays critical eye, Its like taking a model t ford and saying that it doesn't handle very well and gets terrible milage, its just not the same thing. Appreciate it for what it is. (having finally seen this i can see what peter jackson was trying to achieve, but this is better than jacksons version!)

My expectations were different for this movie, i have seen a la dolche grande vitara GLX (La Dolce Vita) and i loved it. This was a bit of a miasma to be honest. I can see what fellini was trying to achieve with it, so i have left my feeling neutral, and although there were brilliant parts to this movie, especially the dream sequences, but those women just wouldn't shut up! Although i LOVED the devil girl and her incredible rhumba. Ill watch it again and see what i get out of it in a second viewing.

I have it on good authority that sean connery was not paid to act in this movie, because he didn't.

Stunning thriller, Absolutely not a horror film. The disappearing glass of water was a very nice touch even if it was just for a split second, that was the turning point for me.
magic - hats off to scorsese.

Very dissapointed, I know this was an adaption because its very difficult to shoot a movie from one book, but it strays so far from the original source material that it simply is not tintin any more. It is all dumbed down for american audiences with over the top action and a simple revenge plot, not smart satire, politics and the pursuit of hegemony like the comics showed us.
Just look at what spielberg did to the kingdom of the crystal skull, he has joined Lucas as a lazy director with too many special effects at his disposal. It was absolutely Ridiculous.

Very much a product of the times, but a lovely slow burn with a brilliant ending.

classic don adams, if only slapstick was this funny these days, bear in mind you need to be slightly inebriated to view properly and in good company.

An interesting movie, low budget, but not a Hollywood ending - which was a nice surprise. Quite satisfying for what it was.
