Yes, it's definitely the same film.

This is an installation piece, so it can never really exist online, but you can watch documentation of it in this video: https://vimeo.com/167690733/

I believe the entry on the UNESCO list is not referring to this episode, but to the similarly-named "Kimbanda Kambia" episode, which is online here: https://vimeo.com/160074405

The description (check the Source link) lists the length as 40 minutes, which matches the "Kimbanda Kambia" episode, but not the "Kimbanda" episode, which is not online but is listed as being 21 minutes long. The plot description in the UNESCO list also matches the online episode.

Here are the clips that used to be on the Smithsonian website - they're only about a minute each, but they're different from the clip on YouTube.

This is on the "Viva La Dance" disc of the Unseen Cinema set. It's the second of the two films on that disc of Eisenstein's Mexico footage.

This footage (at least some of it) is available at this link in color and much better quality than the Youtube: http://www.discovernikkei.org/en/nikkeialbum/albums/270/?view=list#collitems. It's broken up into short clips - the first 39 clips listed there are the Topaz footage.

I think you’re right. The first six minutes of that video are from Chromaticite I, but it’s not the complete film. Sorry for the confusion!

Did anyone happen to save a copy of this from when it was on Youtube? I'd love to see it.

This is a lost film and probably shouldn't be included in the AFA Essential Cinema list. See my longer comment here: https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/anthology+film+archives+essential+cinema/comments/
