I've seen enough to keep up with the Filmspotting discussions, but the missing film list never ends. I'm catching up with new releases on IMDB 250 (never got a chance to see Drive, arrrg), I'm missing Shane and Sophie's Choice on AFI 100, and there are about 100 more to go on Ebert's Great Movie list. I'm currently watching Chaplin films.
Amazing in its incoherence!
The scene order could be completely scrambled and it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Best plot hole: they find out Sentinel Prime is on the moon - next scene, they're on the moon. Later, they need to cross the Chicago River, but the bridges are up, it can't be done!
Erik - for the lists like TSPDT that get updated, would it be possible to leave the old lists up? Couldn't they be marked as the 2009, 2010, or 2011 edition? It would be interesting to compare the lists for the truly obsessive.
The GWTW numbers are notoriously inaccurate. It was re-released many times throughout the years and often they use a low estimate of the '39 ticket prices for all releases. World-wide ticket sales of Avatar definitely beat the world-wide sales of GWTW, not that it is a better movie, but there are 1000x number of theaters now.

Which is your favorite Soderbergh film? It's close for me, but I'd have to pick Traffic.Group comment on Filmspotting

I see, sorting by checks 'Dead Poet's Society' is my highest unseen film. Yea, I need to get around to seeing that one. I already know the ending...Group comment on Filmspotting

It is too long, but it isn't that bad. It's better than many current blockbusters. I skipped the first 30 minutes and I don't think I missed anything.Movie comment on It Came from Beneath the Sea

Great, crazy premise, but awful execution. Harryhausen's work is good (not his best), and there isn't enough of it.Movie comment on Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Possibly the best movie of the decade. I can't explain why I like it so much. I usually don't like movies without plots, but this is mesmerizing.Movie comment on The Hurt Locker

Hurt Locker is 2009, in fact, it is the best picture of 2009.
