I give Lynch a pass for storylines that turn illogical to make way for symbolism and allegory, I can't seem to bring myself to do it for anyone else.

Jokes about how full of clichés your movie is don't make your movie any less full of clichés.

Very likeable but it also felt very much like the recent Pixar movies (Soul) that throw a boatload of stuff at the screen then attempt to resolve the existential dread-based plot with feel good self-help book statements.

It would be cool if anglo-saxon moviemakers stopped disproportionately using asian women in "obedient objects you have easy sex with"-type roles.

Great material, but it feels thrown out there like you're watching a reel of outtakes from the actual documentary. It would have benefited from being edited into a mini-series to give it some structure.

As the only person to have checked this (the Belgian Cinematek has a copy) it feels like my duty to comment but there isn't much to say... It's 5 hours of fairly unrelenting humorless western action.
