If you're familiar with the stage show you'll already know that Cats has no storyline. For this reason I knew exactly what to expect and didn't personally find it to be any more offensive than any previous incarnation of the production. Yes, the cgi was horrifying and I'm baffled as to why anyone okayed such a harrowing human-cat hybrid to be immortalised on film. If you close your eyes it's definitely tolerable.
Went to see this with pretty low expectations and ended up having a thrillingly good time and laughing quite a lot. Quelle surprise! I don't know why it's got such a low rating considering that it is an action comedy that delivers on both action and comedy.
This movie is a train wreck. It is terrible in so many ways that i simply cannot bring myself to change the channel. I am currently at the point where the boy child is pissing on the homeless man's face and i need to know if this is rock bottom. Send help.
It literally wouldn't matter in which order most of these scenes were edited together since there was so little plot. It was really just non-stop scares after the initial setup. I had a good time listening to the tweens in the cinema shrieking though, ngl.
The most gripping crime thriller I've seen in ages. For a movie of its length it was truly remarkable that it never got boring, I'm usually such a whinger after 2 hours. Great cast too!
Full of weirdly dated humour (your mama jokes and Tourettes as a comedic device. In 2018... really?) The male characters were all pretty hateable and the female representation was so crap that I would've honestly preferred a 100% sausage-fest.
For what this movie lacked in cohesive plot, it made up for in predictability. If you want to watch a horror movie in which you know exactly when each scare is coming, this would be a good choice. The acting was bad, the script was bad ("Slender Man is like a computer virus, but instead of attacking your hard drive, he attacks your brain!") and I was disappointed to learn that this film was made on a budget of $10 million. I plan on writing a strongly worded letter to Sony about this horrendous mismanagement of funds.
Some heavy content but not a sob-story. I really enjoyed the editing style, which was a combination of live performances interspersed with interviews. Really well put together and it remained interesting throughout, despite being quite long (for a documentary.)
Glenn Close was amazing in this. I totally believed in her character and I hope she wins some awards. The script was great too - although it's fiction, it really rings true. One of the best dramas I've seen this year.
Lots of things wrong with this movie. It's full of cliches, poorly scripted, the characters are one-dimensional and unlikeable, and visually I found it to be really over-reliant on CGI. I'm sad because I wanted it to be good. :(
Pretty boring. Didn't care about any of the characters. Jesus seemed like a fully fledged nut-bar (although that's probably the most historically accurate thing about the whole film).

The characters are pretty hateable, but so are most people in their early 20s so my appreciation of the film is undiminished.Movie comment on Life of the Party
