Where’s the other western list? The one I was actually trying to accomplish? Instead we get a British western list because they know westerns better than anybody apparently. Can you name one? I’m not sure why they keep tinkering with existing lists but it’s getting annoying.
Doesn't really address the loss of life in any kind of unique or profound way. It's nothing but watching a somber Casey Affleck walking around New England for 2 1/2 hours.
Tame compared to it's contemporaries. It really needed more grit when you consider the material. Also, Treat Williams might be the worst lead Lumet has ever worked with. If they replace him with another Lumet favorite, Pacino and cranked up the violence a bit it would have been a herald classic rather than forgotten.
I feel like I should have liked this much more than I actually did. Ostentatious 80's films are funny because they don't try to be. So seeing a parody that's even more ridiculous than the source material in an attempt to forcefully be funny is kind of well - unfunny. It had it's moments but it definitely tried too hard.
Yet another animated movie attempting to bring heart and a loving sentiment to a film that isn't required or necessary.
Someday they will kick the cliches and start making animated movies cartoony with non-stop hilarity and laughter. This could have been the one given the history of the characters but instead we get a cute dog/father son story. Why?
