Otherworldly, gritty and stunning photography/cinematography/direction...
Almost all of the scene films left you speechless, your jaw hanging, in awe and wonder...
While the film's weakest point is probably the plot, it's also completely irrelevant, cause that's exactly the point. The whole film centers around survival after all, and survival is hard and raw indeed. Couldn't be filmed any better for it's theme.
Solid indeed, though nowhere as beautiful or vivid as Baraka. Yes Baraka was shot 10 years later but it's still a far better overall film to recommend regardless.
Decent list. It may just be my opinion but I somehow find it sad that there is "so much bollywood" filling some of these lists. Many mediocre movies somehow make it, while others truly good ones get tossed aside. Too many foreign films neglected.
Examples which could be removed quite easily:
Tangled, Kahaani, Barfi!, Lone survivor, Star Trek2, About time, Girl with a dragon Tattoo remake (not nearly as good as the original). Those are really part of 2010's highlights? :(
Possible replacements, some of these are really spectacular pieces of work in many ways:
Headhunters (2011), Broken Circle Breakdown (2012), Temple Grandin (2010), In a Better World (2010), A Royal Affair (2012), Winter's Bone (2010), King of Devil's Island (2010).
Amazing list m8. This should have been in the official lists. Also, consider adding Dancer in the Dark (Trier) and the two recent great Danish films "The Hunt" (Jagten) & "Royal Affair", both starring Mads Mikkelsen in spectacular performances.
IMDB votes import does not seem to work at all at this moment. I tried importing small lists through the appropriate feature, since the all ratings import failed (more than 2k ratings). Everything is public ofc in imdb (lists and all ratings) but I still get an error about privacy.
Is it just me?

Actually there is a 720p bluray version out there for it with the title of : "The Fabulous World Of Jules Verne". It's easier to go with that title.Movie comment on Soshite chichi ni naru
