Like-able story. Worthwhile even though Audie Murphy's first lead performance is a bit stiff and understandable so now knowing he suffered PSTD. However, he's still great to watch.
Too much of Steve McNally as if he had the lead role when Audie Murphy has top billing. Still very enjoyable but leaves you wanting to see more of Audie.
Opening scene is hokey due to poor sci-fi effects of the long outdoor shots and indoor close-up shots. Once you get past that, it's a nice musical tale of a cross between Robin Hood and Scarlet Pimpernel in the Middle East. In this case, Paul/El Khobar is aptly played by Gordon MacRae.

The ever innovative Buster Keaton at his best; what he does in front of the camera out does even today's special effects behind the camera.Movie comment on Three Girls About Town

Lex Barker is easy on the eye to watch plus Cheetah's antics. Vanessa Brown played Jane this one time. Otherwise the rest is not memorable.Movie comment on My Reputation
