I think there's been a mistake - everyone is confusing A Haunted House with this movie. Which doesn't come out till April.

Just noticed, Ghostbusters II is incorrectly on the list in place of Ghostbusters.

The first truly great film of 2012, and a scary one as it is.

In response to the last comment, do that and this will be the next Criterion you'll surely want to add to your collection.

I wish more Allen films were as good as this.

Underwhelming. I definitely came for the stellar cast, but left disappointed in the storyline which never took the time to explain enough. Reading the novel may have made things clearer through additional subtext, but as it stands I wouldn't recommend this.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, one of Gary Oldman's favorite films.

Splendid Yuletide crudefest that is set apart from the past to iterations by it's substantially larger production value, seemingly non-stop gag factor, and overall, depicting a resonant, poignant tale about the nature of what it means to grow up and grow out of old habits. I can't wait to make it a usual holiday favorite.

Could have developed the relationship of Freud and Jung more. The film lacks any interesting development in its second half, and despite Keira Knightley giving an award-worthy performance, this is below Cronenberg's recent past efforts.

Not as good as The Fall in my eyes, but its sophistication in stylized action puts it ahead of similar films like 300 and Clash of the Titans.

Did they parody specifically this on The Simpsons when Bart gets trapped in the well?

Eerily reminiscent of A Woman Under the Influence, where the audience sees into the psyche of the main character, and through their eyes develops the world experienced in the film. The mood conveyed throughout suggests there's something more to what's going on, generating the intangible conflict which is Martha/Marcy May's persona. I feel like some people will feel like the rug was swept right from under them seeing the film, but through reflection I've already started to warmly receive the film. It's definitely among the arthouse set of 2011 films like Tree of Life and Another Earth, and will likely be in the Oscar running in the independent sect. I liked Elisabeth Olsen and John Hawkes in their roles.
Recommended. 4/5

Hated this movie, further cemented my dislike for Kevin Smith, is there anything this man can do?

Not what I was expecting at all. Very dreamlike, in some cases the film comes off being too weird for its own good. If there was some...level of understanding present, it would have warranted a recommendation from me, but maybe focus on Malle's more predominant works instead of this one.

Sort of underwhelming. Good effects but flat and uninteresting characters (aside from pre-serum Steve Rogers). Though I still have faith and optimism for 'The Avengers'.

This is the best Transformers movie. Incredible, though I hesitate to use that word, as it is the kind of word reserved for things which are not heavily flawed, as it is just this being a Transformers film and highly illogical. But it's this sense of retaining charm and being about what its about in true Bay-excessiveness, it succeeds in delivering the goods better than its predecessors.
