Thought there was a problem with the subtitles but actually the filmmakers do the subtitles for other languages themselves and deliberately miss out certain lines. Unless you speak German you're going to miss out on some of the dialogue.
Bit rich of Slate talking about black filmmakers being ignored and then largely ignoring works from outside the US. Just one film apiece from Sembene and Mambéty.
Funny that people get annoyed with others checking off films they haven't seen but will be content enough to watch videos with quality like that - blurry, stabilized, cropped. Have you really seen it?
