Stunning art direction, but as far as the story goes, it didn't really grab me. It could be the fact that I just saw too many Dracula adaptations or horror films overall, though Cushing added a lot too the film, he really delivered.
Christopher Lee on the other hand, was not scary, so the film seemed to drag a bit at times. There was just so little to no tension.
Didn't expect to like this as much as I did, really a great audiovisual experience. It's a genre film and a damn good one at that, the movie had me on the edge of my seat for the full 83 minutes.
I liked the cinematography. The extreme violence next to the silent and peaceful parts really worked for me, it even reminded me of some of Kitano's work at times. Though the end seemed a bit like a mess to me, especially the message it leaves you with is unsatisfactory.
