Just finished watching this. Have to say, nothing special and very overrated. I enjoyed the characters and most of the plot, but the CGI was far from spectacular. Saying that, the directing was done well and I wasn't too bored by the end.
To sum up, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat was brilliant. Overall, 6/10.
I can understand how this film would be more suited for the older audiences who grew up in the time that the film focusses on, but with the sudden scary moments and explosions they don't exactly sell it to pensioners.
Huge credit to Jack Nicholson, he really convinces me when playing someone of a different mental state and I don't know why. Maybe it's his eyebrows.
Lovely film and heart-warming in some scenes. I really took a liking to most of the characters although I think that some of them should have had bigger roles.

Taking into account this is a cliché Sci-Fi film I found it very unrealistic (in the form of the characters) and generally quite boring.I can understand how this film would be more suited for the older audiences who grew up in the time that the film focusses on, but with the sudden scary moments and explosions they don't exactly sell it to pensioners.
Overall, very predictable and drab. 5/10.

Has to be my favourite film at the moment. Excellent directing and a brilliant story; credit to Stephen King. Kubrick's directing really 'shines' and I feel that this has easily set up most of the psychological clichés in film. Can be confusing during the mid-section yet by the end it all becomes clear. Brilliant, 9/10.
