It's certainly not without its flaws, but this is the best film Anurag Kashyap has come out with since Black Friday. A very devastating story, filled with equally infuriating and amusing moments (the initial interrogation sequence at the police station) and characters who are all complete frauds and fakers.
The acting is also top-notch, with Girish Kulkarni pulling off the best performance of the group as Sub-Inspector Jadav. Probably the best Bollywood movie of the year.
This is only a "masterpiece" if you have the sensibilities of a 5-year old child. I mean, good grief. Nothing was funny, everyone overacted... I was expecting cartoon animals to jump out at the halfway point.

Great coming-of-age story. Still odd to see Aamir Khan playing such young roles - although his shortness probably helps.

Word of warning: As soon as this movie releases, rabid Shah Rukh Khan fans will swarm IMDb and give it perfect ratings. So the film will probably jump to about an 8.5 - 9.0 IMDb rating in the first week, then slowly fall back to Earth as sane filmgoers realize what an awful film it is.
Not a very good movie. It's basically 2.5 hours of "Take pity on me because I'm a Muslim and the world is unfair to me!!" Message doesn't resonate. Acting is decent, nothing spectacular and not as good as Forrest Gump.
