It could never be possible to completely capture and convey Fela and his music and politics in a two hour documentary, but this gets close. Much better than the other Fela documentaries I've seen.

Pretty much forgettable really. Decent acting is not enough alone to carry any film.
You know something is lacking when the director has to resort to excessive use of music montages, and having the lead actresses cleavage on display in every other scene.

Very well made documentary that kept my interest throughout. Some very good information that needs telling to a wider audience.

Love the concept (I'm a fan of the original 1 appartment 6 drummers video), and enjoyed the musical sequences but it really needed the hand of an experienced director to develop the story line and take this concept somewhere. As it is, it fails to really take any of the ideas anywhere interesting and just becomes a few good fun scenes hung together by a vague thread.

Could have been great in the right hands, but still a good fun distraction for an hour and a half.

Utter garbage.

Very predictable, unrealistic, voyeuristic nonsense. The the third act is so out of kilter it's laughable - it turns the film from a just about passable thriller into very poorly judged torture porn for no reason whatsoever (we all ready know the protaganist is a nut job). And the ending was very weak and out of character.

Squimingly (!) bad - as in it still makes me squirm several months after seeing it.

Quirky art film that fails to be art or even quirky but is just irritating and unsufferably dull.

Incredible. The acting, cinematography, pacing and story telling are all top notch. Despite being quite slow and having little in the way of war film 'action' it easily held my interest throughout and the ending is so stark and dramatic it stays with you for days.

One of the best war films, on par with "Come and See"

Far inferior ripoff of the Spanish film El Metodo, with a hint of the Cube thrown in for measure.

Pretty poor really.

This film is a masterclass in how to take a simple plot and keep the viewers attention and interest all the way through building the tension right to the final seconds.

No hollywood film would ever dare to be this straight forward!
