Billy Crudup might be one of the most underrated actors ever! He's spectacular as Prefontaine, and the fact that he's also the man who played Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen makes him even more impressive to watch.

After I saw this my friend had to explain to me that it wasn't a spoof on the horror genre. That's what it felt like to me: like all the cliches, all the bad writing, and all the horrible acting was a joke. But I guess it was just a failed attempt at a horror movie, which is shocking since Craven did it.
It's astounding to me that people legitimately enjoy this movie. The acting, direction, writing, effects, and logistics of this movie are nothing to be proud of. Everything is lazy, self-serving, awkward and ludicrous.
I get that the message is supposed to be that bullying is bad and you shouldn't give in to pier pressure, but does it accomplish that? Not in my opinion. It gets too caught up in showing the cruelty of bullying that it forgets to say, "Oh yeah, by the way, that's a bad thing. Don't do it."
