Absolutely brilliant! Dominik's spin on the 2008 collapse and how it effects all facets of the economy, including mobsters and hit men, is one for the ages. Great casting and a great script.
Phoenix and Hoffman should have had their own, separate films. Together they went absolutely nowhere. Neither character changed or learned anything about one another. Waste of talent in front of and behind the camera.
No, I wouldn't call this sad. Yes, there are some surprisingly emotional segments of the film, but it's what the characters do out of that sadness. How can you call the ending of this film sad?
If you're making a movie that ONLY has good music, put it on an album. Don't waste our time with a terrible story. Music (and it's not even THAT good guys, c'mon let's be real) doesn't justify making a movie.
Nice animation, but wish it ended on a more uplifting note. That looks like a pretty traumatic Christmas for that kid; best night of his life and then he wakes up to his pal melted. I think it could have ended with him falling asleep.
Fun to watch, but given the choice between the three Russian Vinni-Pukh and Disney's The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, I'm going with Disney. The animation is much more creative and superior. Nothing against these ones. These are charming in their own way.
Really just a way for Henson to show off his mastery of puppetry. Story is boring and unsatisfying. I never felt any danger. Piece of eye candy. Love Henson and what he left behind, but this is not for me.
Big fan of this one. It's not a perfect film, but at least it's original, and we NEED more original stories. I can't take another Pirates sequel or Michael Bay debacle.
