Again the worlds most expensive cheap movie.
Just like that self obsessed bodybuilder who spends most of his time in front of the mirror admiring his own muscles.
One of my biggest issues with these movies is that you often cant see what's going on because of A) crazy camera moves like moving around the subject several times in very few seconds B) shaky camera. You can see movement, but you can't see what's moving and C) too tight cropping. Like watching a boxing match with the camera too zoomed in. You can see punches, but not who's punching and who's getting punched.
Still entertaining moments in here, but Michael Bay really needs to stop chain drinking Red Bull.
This movie is supposed to be scary?
I watched this movie in a dark room, surround sound and a 92 inch screen. Not the least bit scary.
Too much drama and a cameraman with a severe case of parkinson's disease. Most people who have never held a camera would hold it steadier than this. True, raw footage like this will have flaws in it, but this is extremely exaggerated.
In the quest for realism this has become totally unbelievable.
I just realized something about the Transformers movies: They're anime's. The weird ones that are teen pornish fantasies. You know the ones. The ones where an unlikely perfect girl ((or several (with huge boobs)) falls in love with the awkward nerdish lead boy. There will be lots of panties close-ups and closeups of her massive bouncing boobs and shots of them being presses up against him. There might even be some touch and squeeze.
The sad thing is that the anime's have much better stories than the Transformers movies. It shouldn't be difficult to make something better than this.
Stupid ... as usual.
What is great about the books is that they're written in a realistic way. The movies are 100% formulaic and looks just like all the other formulaic Hollywood productions. There is nothing special about these movies. Only reason I watch them is I love the books and I know about all the things that is not shown/explained.
Omitting something I understand, but changing something that is great to somthing bad. What is this obsession with rewriting as much as possible!!?
Seriously ... burying Dobby at a beach, WTF!
His rotting carcass will be exposed to the elements within a week!
Just re-watched this. Been a looong time since i saw it last and I was actually disappointed. I love the boat chase, the crocodile scene is classic Bond, but much of this movie is just off. I thought this was one of my favorite Bond movies. It's probably more like one of my 5 least favorite Bond flicks.
EPIC!
This is not an all out action/horror flick. It's part "2001 - A Space Odyssey" and part action with some of THE MOST IMPRESSIVE action scenes I've ever had the pleasure to witness. And the alien creatures are out of this world realistic. Someone better get an Oscar for this (or two). This might be the first time I have seen 100% realistic movie-creatures.
When it's "calm" it's interesting/cool and when there's action it's awesome.
And it's definetely something you have to see on a big screen (and not a tiny 60" TV).
Yes! More like this, please :)
Love the fact that this film isn't pumped full of CGI scenes of ridiculous proportions. There are too many scenes in (comic)movies literally screaming LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS CGI! AIN'T IT JUST FUCKING AWESOME! Those scenes just look stupid (Asgard from the movie Thor is one of those scenes. If I wanted a trip I would have smoked something before seing the movie).
The CGI work in Captain America is excellent. It doesn't get over the top or get too shiny/flashy.
Had a WTF moment at the begining of this film when Agent Smith ... ehrm ... Johann Schmidt attacked that town and stole that power cube. I live 30 minutes from there.
Cool "movie".
By doing it in a series of still images and having a narrator telling the it feels like it's documenting something that really happened. And at times I actually think there are too many stills describing a scene.

This movie was made lovingly and with lots of skills. An example of the ART of filmmaking. You don't see much of that anymore.Movie comment on Les Misérables

Hugh Jackman impresses; Russel Crow, not so much. Some strange camerawork going on at times.
Never seen a live musical before, but I'm pretty sure seing this on stage is in a completely different league.
