I suppose you can say it does what it sets out to do - brutal serial-killer revenge tale - but it's a pretty horrible, misanthropic film. Could certainly do with 30-45 mins trimming off it.

Give me The Good The Bad The Weird over this one, any day!

Reminded me more of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance than Oldboy, but either way a very impressive movie.

Bloody, sick and brutal without touching the Gore scenario.

Unfortunately for 2 and a half hours I think it could be much better. The plot is way to simple to take so much time!
Good shooting and acting but the plot needed the "mindfuck" factor..

Anyway, it's a fantastic movie! it's not a "Hollywood revenge" but not being a "hollywood revenge" isn't a new thing nowadays..

Oh where is the horror?! This is a drama, a great story of revenge. simple. no horror. It has blood and all but that isn't enough to be a horror movie.

If you loved Oldboy, you'll be disapointed by this movie but just because you'll be expecting another Oldboy. so CLEAN your mind, sit back, and watch it =D

I'd definitely recommend it, fantastic revenge flick.
Beautifully shot and scored. With some moments of dark comedy

Though if you haven't seen many other films in this genre you may come out with similar views to Masch Man.

To dumb it down to an empire-esque tagline "If you loved Oldboy you'll love this!!!"
