Amazing film.Drix
Although I really liked the movie, I must say I agree with WhiteJam to a certain degree. A better editor and a tighter script would have made this movie even better. Tarantino must remember how good he was at killing his darlings and thus making amazing movies that never let you even remember beeing in a theater..WhiteJam
Messy and crass. Some truly wonderful moments were overshadowed by the confusion of what the film was attempting to be. It couldn't quite keep up the momentum of exploitation and instead proved quite offensive. Tarantino needs a good editor more than ever.grapenomad

My favorite of Quentin's films as nearly everything works spectacularly well. Every scene has enough subtleties jammed into it that even upon many viewings there is something new to see. Waltz is phenomenal and throws himself totally into the role that put him on the global filmmaking map. In some ways it's almost a PSA on multi-lingual actors which goes a very long way to make it seem more realistic and is a pure showcase of talent. Knowing Tarantino's penchant for unpredictably and the clear fact that this film is taking place in a kind of hyper-reality version of WW2, I honestly had no idea where the plot was going or what would eventually happen in the best way possible.Earring72
WWII Tarentino Dirty Dozen style. Gets better with each viewing. GreatClassicLady
Tarantino is one violent, sick, Basterd.Jevet D. Lopez
I'm not a fan of Tarantino, actually I think is repetitive in its pieces. But Inglourious Basterds as a Film is just to appreciate the art of movies, not historical events, not the suffering of WWII, nor the clash of diferent cultures even after the war.Is just to express an USA ideal of killing Nazis, and how Americans can do dirty jobs.
I can rescue one scene, when the German Soldiers with a SS official and the German Actress Spy meets accidentally in a tavern, playing with the emotions of all the members involved.
Hate the acting of Brad Pitt, stupid, too American.

Loved this film when I first watched it, Cristoph Waltz was amazing and the story wasn't half bad, didn't like it as much as Tarantino's other films though. Urrivadurchee!koshthethird
Although I think the movie did a wonderful job of portraying the way languages were actually used during World War II (there's little that makes me respect a movie more than when German characters are played by actual Germans), I found the excessive historical revisionism a little distasteful. A decent film, but nothing on the level of Pulp Fiction.jacktrewin
christoph waltz is undoubtedly one of the greatest ever film villainsmasoko

Great movie! This movie should have won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The story is so interesting and the acting of the cast is really good. The music (as always in a Tarantino movie) is also very good. I really enjoyed watching this movie. And I think it is one of the best movies of 2009. Christoph Waltz is very good as the SS colonel Hans Landa and he really deserved an Oscar. Melanie Laurent also does a good job. She is really good as the french jewish girl Shoshanna. She is propably my favorite from the cast.Showing items 16 – 30 of 60
